WMC is excited to partner with the Blueberry River Restoration Society in search of a collaborative and results-focused leader to step into the pivotal role of Director of Restoration.
This opportunity comes at a transformative moment in history, following the 2021 BC Supreme Court decision and the creation of the Blueberry River Implementation Agreement in 2023. This role is integral to healing the land and empowering the people of Blueberry River First Nations.
As Director of Restoration, you will lead a world-class program integrating traditional ecological knowledge with Western science. You will implement a $200 million, 10-year framework to restore vegetation, wildlife habitats, water systems, and historic industrial sites, while advancing community capacity-building and creating opportunities for Blueberry River First Nations and Treaty 8 members.
Collaboration is central to this role, as you will work with multi-party coalitions to align efforts with cultural, ecological, and strategic priorities. This is a rare chance to contribute to both environmental healing and cultural restoration, leaving a lasting legacy for the region and its people.
If you are an experienced leader with expertise in ecological restoration and a passion for transformative change, we encourage you to apply. For more information or to submit your application, please visit https://careers.wmc.ca/#/posting/PR-4158.
